(Lexington County, SC)-- The Lexington County Council is considering an expansion of Riverbanks Zoo.
An 80-million-dollar bond took another step towards approval Tuesday night.
If fully approved, Lexington County would pay 36-million dollars over the next 20 years, and Richland County would pay 44-million.
The project would fund a new primate forest bridge, facility on the Saluda River, and upgrades to the tiger and lion habitats.
