(Colleton County, SC)-- Alex Murdaugh is trying to have a judge removed from all of his future trials.
Circuit Judge Clifton Newman presided over the disbarred South Carolina attorney's trial when he was convicted of killing his wife and son in Colleton County.
The judge is assigned to any future cases involving Murdaugh.
The legal team for Murdaugh filed a motion yesterday, claiming Judge Newman showed personal bias during sentencing and was aware of jury tampering by the clerk of court.
