(Columbia, SC) -- The vice president is reportedly planning a surprise visit to South Carolina today.
The New York Times reports Kamala Harris is expected to file paperwork for President Biden's name on the Democratic primary ballot.
South Carolina is the first state to host the Democratic primary in early February.
Harris is likely to be joined by Congressman James Clyburn at the party headquarters.
