(Columbia, SC)-- A well-known fan of the University of South Carolina is being remembered after passing away.
Carlton Thompson was known to many as "Gamecock Jesus" because of his dedication to cheering for men's and women's basketball games at USC.
It's also because of Thompson's long hair and beard.
The University of South Carolina Athletics Department posted on social media in memory of Thompson- saying he now has the best seat in the house.
