Weather Warnings in Effect for South Carolina Rivers

A flood warning is in effect for several South Carolina rivers through late Sunday evening.

Forecasters say rising water in the Congaree River at Carolina Eastman has forced the Cayce [[cay-CEE]] Riverwalk to close. From ten to 16 feet of flooding has been reported across the Midlands and more moderate increases are expected over the next few days. A flood warning has also been issued for the Wateree River, affecting Fairfield, Lancaster and Kershaw Counties.

A warning has been extended for the Pee Dee River in Marlboro and Chesterfield Counties.
