Lawmakers Back At State House For 2024 Legislative Session

(Columbia, SC) -- Lawmakers are back in session at the South Carolina State House.

The first day of the 2024 legislative session was Tuesday.

It is the second year of a two-year session, meaning legislators can pick off proposed measures where they left off in 2023.

Issues like guns, medical marijuana, and gender-affirming care for transgender youth in the state are expected to be taken up by lawmakers this session.
