(Colleton County, SC)-- A new murder trial is being denied for former South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh.
The 55-year-old was sentenced to life in prison last year for the murder of his wife and son in 2021.
His legal team tried to argue in court yesterday that he deserved a new trial because the clerk of court tampered with the jury in Colleton County.
A judge ruled that any comments made by the clerk didn't impact the verdict.
