Bill To Restrict Access For Minors To Social Media Advances

(Columbia, SC) - A proposed measure that would prevent minors from accessing social media without their parent's approval is advancing at the South Carolina State House.

A House bill would require social media users to verify they are 18 or older- or have parent or guardian permission.

It was debated on the House floor Wednesday.

The bills will now need to pass a final vote in the House before heading to the Senate for consideration.
