Clyburn Stepping Down From House Leadership Role

(Columbia, SC)-- U.S. Representative Jim Clyburn of South Carolina is stepping down from his leadership role in the House Democratic Caucus.

Clyburn not only served as the House Majority Whip, but also the Assistant Democratic Leader of the Democratic caucus.

The 83-year-old told WIS-TV in Columbia he is now going to get involved in President Biden's re-election campaign.

Clyburn has been serving as the congressman for South Carolina's 6th Congressional District since 1993, and still plans to run for re-election for that seat.
