(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina's state budget proposal includes pay increases for teachers.
The plan approved by the House Ways and Means Committee this week would raise the minimum salary for teachers across the state by 45-hundred dollars, up to 47-thousand dollars.
The budget now needs full House approval before being sent to the Senate. It would then go to Governor McMaster for his approval.
