GOP Primary Sees Higher Voter Turnout Than Democratic Primary

(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina's Republican presidential primary is bringing out more voters than the state's Democratic primary.

A little over 23-percent of registered voters cast ballots in the GOP primary, including both early voting and in-person voting on Saturday.

That compares to the less than five-percent turnout that the Democratic primary saw earlier in February.

The South Carolina GOP primary results are expected to be certified later on in the week.
