State Lawmakers File Bills To Protect IVF After Alabama Court Ruling

(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina lawmakers are filing bills to protect IVF services in South Carolina.

This comes following a court ruling in Alabama ruled that frozen embryos are children, putting in vitro fertilization in jeopardy in that state.

This week, legislators in the Palmetto State filed bills in the House and Senate to make sure a similar issue does not occur in South Carolina.

The bills have been referred to judiciary committees for review.
