(Columbia, SC)-- A new law is on the books in South Carolina.
Governor Henry McMaster yesterday signed a constitutional carry bill into law. It lowers the gun-buying age to 18 and eliminates training requirements for those legally allowed to carry in public without a concealed weapons permit.
South Carolina is the 29th state with such a law. McMaster says it expands the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens and will keep violent criminals behind bars with increased penalties for illegal gun use and possession.
