(Charleston, SC)-- The attorneys of the Boeing whistleblower who died over the weekend are responding to the loss.
Sixty-two-year-old John Barnett was found dead outside of a Charleston hotel Saturday.
Barnett was known for speaking out about Boeing's production standards after working for the company for over three decades.
Though the coroner's office said Barnett's death was the result of a "self-inflicted gunshot wound", Barnett's attorneys are calling on Charleston Police to investigate further.
In a statement, they said they did not see any indication that Barnett would take his own life.
