South Carolina Senate Subcommittee Advances Energy Reform Measure

(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina lawmakers are moving an energy reform bill forward.

The 10-Year Energy Transformation Act would restructure the Public Service Commission and allow for a new natural gas plant in Colleton County to be funded by Santee Cooper and Dominion Energy.

The measure advanced out of a South Carolina Senate subcommittee this week and will next be reviewed by the full Senate Judiciary Committee.

It was already passed in the House.
