(Columbia, SC) - A lawsuit against South Carolina's six-week abortion ban will be in court today.
Planned Parenthood South Atlantic and three doctors are seeking a preliminary injunction against the ban, known as the fetal heartbeat law.
They will appear in the Richland County Courthouse this morning. In part, the suit seeks a definition of a "fetal heartbeat" and an argument that all components of the heart are not formed in the womb until around nine weeks, not six.
