(Bowman, SC) -- A well-known tourist attraction in Bowman is destroyed after a fire.
The UFO Welcome Center caught fire Thursday morning. The two-story structure built by Jody Pendarvis has been featured on national TV shows and brought tourists into the area.
Pendarvis also lost the trailer he lived in, which was on the same property.
Cathy's Country Cooking in Orangeburg is accepting donations to help Pendarvis recover from the fire.
