South Carolina To Receive $257 Million For Electric Infrastructure

(Columbia, SC)-- South Carolina will receive 257-million dollars in electric infrastructure for rural areas. 

The announcement came Tuesday as part of President Biden's Infrastructure Week. T

he funding will be used by utility providers and electric cooperatives to improve the infrastructure and technology in rural communities. 

The Upstate and the Midlands are expected to benefit from the investment, which is paid for by the Electric Infrastructure Loan and Loan Guarantee Program.
