(Columbia, SC)-- A new school bathroom policy is in effect in South Carolina.
A proviso in the state budget requires students to use the bathroom that matches their biological sex.
The bathroom rule became law in South Carolina on Monday.
This comes as South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson joins other attorneys general in challenging federal regulations that prevent such bathroom policies.
