(Richland County, SC)-- The Richland County Council is holding a public meeting today to discuss a potential Penny Tax.
The proposed referendum would create a one-percent transportation sales and use tax -- the first in the county since 2012.
The new proposal aims to bring in 4.5-billion dollars over 25 years to be used on road projects.
Today's public meeting in the Second Flood Council Chambers at the Richland County Administration Building at 6 p.m.
