Death Row Inmate Asks For Clemency Ahead Of Execution Friday

(Columbia, SC)-- A death row inmate in South Carolina is requesting clemency days before his scheduled execution.

Freddie Eugene Owens is set for a lethal injection execution on Friday- the first execution to happen in the state in over a decade.

Now, Owens is asking Governor McMaster to spare his life by granting him clemency.

McMaster plans to announce his decision on the phone with the prison shortly before Owens' scheduled execution on Friday.
