Hurricane Helene Heads Toward South Carolina After Making Landfall

(Undated) -- A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for much of South Carolina through Saturday.

This comes as Hurricane Helene heads toward the Palmetto State after making landfall in Florida as a category 4 storm.

The National Weather Service says the impacts from Helene could bring the "worst flooding we've had in the modern era"-- as well as wind gusts over 70 miles per hour in some parts of the state.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 8 a.m.
