Richland County Offers $750K To Family Whose Relative Died In Custody

(Richland County, SC)-- Richland County is offering a family 750-thousand dollars to avoid litigation after their relative died while in custody in 2023.

Twenty-nine-year-old Antonius Randolph was beaten to death in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Officials say the fatal beating occurred in part due to faulty locks that allowed other detainees to access Randolph.

Settlement paperwork was filed Friday, but has yet to be approved by a judge.
