(Yemassee, SC)-- An additional 24 monkeys have been recovered in South Carolina after escaping a research facility last week.
One monkey was found and re-captured on Saturday, and authorities caught another 24 on Sunday.
Veterinarians have examined all of the recovered animals and found they were unharmed.
Officials say most of the monkeys stayed near the research facility, and they now have their eyes on a "sizeable group" in a nearby wooded area.
Police have emphasized there is not a current threat to public health.
