Driver In DUI Crash That Killed Bride Sentenced To Prison

(Charleston, SC)-- The woman behind the wheel in a DUI crash that killed a bride on her wedding night is sentenced to prison. 

Twenty-six-year-old Jamie Lee Komoroski pleaded guilty to one count of felony DUI, two counts of DUI causing great bodily injury or death and one count of reckless homicide on Monday.

Komoroski was intoxicated when driving on Folly Beach in April of 2023- her vehicle struck a golf cart with newlyweds Samantha Miller and Aric Hutchinson and two of their family members onboard, killing Miller and injuring the other three. 

A judge sentenced Komoroski to 25 years in prison.
