A driver is facing DUI charges after a fatal Christmas Eve crash.
The accident happened Tuesday night south of Columbia, when two cars were involved in a collision. The 78-year-old driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene, while the driver of the other was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was identified as Lexington resident Joaqin Baltzar Hernandez. Police have now booked him on charges of felony DUI involving death.
