Teen Arrested For Death Of Richland County K9

A teenager is facing charges for the death of a K-9 in Richland County.

The sheriff's office announced Saturday that 17-year-old Damian Brown was arrested after he turned himself in. He was wanted for the shooting death of K9 Bumi. The four-year-old Belgian Malinois was shot while chasing Brown and two other teens wanted for stealing a car last week in Columbia. A 13-year-old and a 16-year-old have also been arrested. The 13-year-old is facing charges that include attempted murder and unlawful killing of a police dog.

Brown is expected to face charges that include grand larceny, and he may be charged as an adult.
