(Columbia, SC) - A new monument is now at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia. A monument honoring the 173rd Airborne Brigade was unveiled to the public on Saturday. It honors paratroopers who served in the brigade that was formed in 1917. The new monument is located next to a bench that also pays tribute to the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
