(Fairfield County, SC) -- Dominion Energy is approved to extend its operations at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station. A contract extension of 20 years was approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission this week. That means the Fairfield County station will stay fully operational until at least 2062. That facility provides power for Dominion Energy and Santee Cooper.
