A man is in custody after allegedly beating a woman with a bat and shooting her.
The incident happened in Sumter County after 11 p.m. Saturday. A woman that was found shot in the leg and beaten was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
Sixty-five-year-old Willie Sigler barricaded himself in his home, but was arrested after an hour-long standoff. He's charged with attempted murder.
