(Stillwater, OK) -- A former USC assistant basketball coach is fired from another college coaching job after a federal indictment.
Oklahoma State University officially dismissed Lamont Evans from its basketball coaching staff yesterday, a year after he took a job there. Federal officials arrested Evans and coaches at three other colleges and universities this week amid an ongoing probe.
Evans worked on the Gamecocks basketball coaching staff from 2012 until last year. He's accused by prosecutors of taking at least 22-thousand dollars in kickbacks over the last five years to steer student-athletes toward certain business contracts.
