(Columbia, SC) - A six-week abortion ban is heading to Governor McMaster's desk.
The measure was passed by the state Senate Tuesday after undergoing amendments in the House.
If it is signed into law, physicians who knowingly violate it would have their license to practice in South Carolina revoked and could be jailed.
McMaster is expected to sign the bill, but it would likely face legal challenges after a similar abortion ban was struck down by the South Carolina Supreme Court.
