(North Charleston, SC)-- Boeing plans to cut more than 200 jobs at its facilities in the state.
The company announced today that the most of the layoffs will start January 17th. Most of the layoffs will impact the North Charleston location where 211 jobs will be eliminated.
Meanwhile, five jobs will be cut in Charleston, two in Beaufort, one in Moncks Corner and one in Columbia.
Yesterday, Boeing announced almost 22-hundred job cuts in Washington as part of a plan to eliminate ten-percent of its workforce.
