(Columbia, SC) -- The Midlands is shaken after a one-point-five magnitude earthquake struck the region this morning. The U.S. Geological Survey detected the quake around 5:00 a.m. in the Columbia area. Officials say the quake occurred over a mile underground. There have no been any reports of injuries or damage. This is South Carolina's fifth confirmed earthquake so far this year.
