Mandatory Evacuations End In Greenville & Pickens Counties

(Greenville County, SC) - Evacuations in the Upstate due to wildfires are now voluntary- not mandatory. The evacuation orders were downgraded Monday due to recent rainfall in the area. Voluntary evacuations are technically lifted in both Greenville and Pickens Counties, but Greenville Emergency Management and Pickens Emergency Management still ask residents to stay aware of any changes in the fire or its impacts. The Table Rock Fire is now 30-percent contained, while the Persimmon Ridge fire is 74-percent contained- according to the South Carolina Forestry Commission.
