(Charleston County, SC)- The National Weather Service confirms two tornadoes have touched down in South Carolina in connection to Tropical Storm Debby.
The first was an EF-1 tornado that happened on Edisto Island, reaching 97 mile-per-hour wind speeds Tuesday evening.
Buildings were damaged when the tornado moved onshore.
The second tornado was in Berkeley County in Moncks Corner - but it has not yet received an EF rating from the National Weather Service.
Two other areas of interest in the lowcountry are being looked at to determine if there were additional tornadoes.
