Rain has already started falling on the Palmetto State, with Helene expected to make landfall in Florida later tonight as a Category 4 hurricane before moving north.
Record-breaking rainfall is expected, and the entire state is under a state of emergency declared by Governor McMaster.
Experts also warn of high winds and even potential tornadoes.
The Midlands has already seen some localized flooding with roads being closed. The worst impacts for our state are expected in the overnight hours.
